Chinese Classes: Say goodbye to the worries of daily communication! Our core course is designed for practical use, helping you confidently handle a wide range of real-life situations—from ordering meals and shopping to making new friends. Multiple levels are offered, starting from beginner. Each class opens with a minimum of 8 students. Through a simple, user-friendly online placement test, we’ll help you find the class that best matches your ability, ensuring you progress efficiently alongside peers of similar levels.
Cultural Lectures/Activities: Culture goes beyond textbooks! We’ve prepared a variety of engaging interactive lectures and workshops that let you experience firsthand the charm of Chinese culture. Discover the wisdom behind Chinese characters, appreciate the beauty of the language, try writing Chinese calligraphy with a brush, or paint a traditional round fan, paper umbrella, or opera mask—perfect as a gift for friends. You can also learn a set of health exercises rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and wellness philosophy, so you can share the practice with your loved ones back home. Through fun, hands-on activities, you’ll personally feel how traditional culture nourishes both body and mind, enriching everyday life.
Language Practice: Learning Chinese is meant to be used in the real world! Under the guidance of instructors, you’ll step out of the classroom and into Shanghai’s authentic neighborhoods, shopping districts, and cultural landmarks to complete exciting “mission challenges.” Find unique local products in a supermarket, or strike up a brief conversation with a stranger in a café—every time you speak, you’ll be taking a real step forward in your language journey.
