*1. Certificate of No Criminal Conviction
An applicant shall submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate) issued by the local public security or government authority (such as the police station). The issue date shall be after November 1, 2024.
*2. Statement of Financial Support
Fill the blanks and sign by the applicant and the sponsor. Even for the application of study with the entrance scholarships, the applicant must sign the Statement of financial support to ensure that the applicant can bear any other expenses beyond the scope of scholarship funding. *3. Curriculum Vitae
Written in the teaching language of the program you apply for. In addition to basic personal information and contact information, list one's educational background (from senior high school), work or internship experience (if any) in chronological order (accurate to month), from the present to the past. No gaps in time, even if you did not study or work during a certain period of time, list the actual situation.
If any work experience, attach a signed or stamped proof of employment issued by the company or organization, which include the applicant's job title, work content, employment duration (accurate to month) , performance, and contact details.
Publication (abstract attached), professional qualification and skill certificate, award and scholarship received are also suggested to be listed.

Recent bareheaded (within six months), full-face, white-color background, two-inch certificate photo, instead of landscape photos or photos of daily life; in JPG format, less than 100K.

A clear copy of your valid passport with your name, photo, date of birth, place of birth, date of issue and date of expiry.
An ordinary passport with the expiry date later than February 1, 2026. Do not change your passport between the start of your application and enrollment (if admitted).

Copies of the original transcripts with the university stamp and/or the signature of the principal. If the originals are not in Chinese or English, they must be translated and notarized.
Students who are currently in the final year can submit a pending certificate along with transcripts of all grades you completed. You are required to submit the official certificate and final transcripts once you receive them.

Written in English or Chinese by two people who know your competencies, personal character and accomplishments, include their names, signatures and contact details (especially email address). At least one letter should be from a past or current professor or academic adviser. Another could be from someone in a slightly different role, including an employer, a research adviser, a senior colleague, or a professor from a different department.
The names, workplaces and departments, titles, signatures and contact details (especially email address) of recommenders shall be included. Issue date included in the end of letter, and shall be after September 1, 2023.
*12. Research proposal
A research proposal in the essay format written in the teaching language of the program you apply for.
A research proposal usually consists of the research title, research objectives, research background, literature review, current state of research, research methodology, expected results, and references.
*13. Supervision Confirmation Letter
Check the 2025 Research Directions & Faculties Information Use the online translation or translation software in case you need to read in English.
Send emails to DHU Professors:
1) With the information on the official website, you will find professors’ information and contact email.
2) You are suggested to email the DHU professor the relevant documents that can prove your experience and competence, such as a professional self-introduction, academic background, diploma and transcripts, CV, thesis, published articles, research proposal, etc.
3) Do write the email in the medium of instruction you apply for.
If the professor has the intention to be your future supervisor, you should download the Template of 2025 Supervision Intention Letter (SIL-M), fill it out, and sign it. Then give it to the professor for his/her signature. The date of the professor's signature should be after November 1st, 2024.
Note: Supervision Intention Letter (SIL) is only used as one of the application materials one should submit for online application to DHU, NOT DHU's official acceptance letter or admission document. The university may adjust the supervisor according to the actual situation during the admissions review or after the freshman enrollment.

14. Mandatory for application of art design related programs
If you are applying for either the Chinese-taught program in Design Studies, or English-taught program in Design, you are required to submit the original latest art works: at least one hand-painted pencil sketch, one hand-painted color painting, and art design portfolio relating to the proposed program area.
Tips: For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
