Entry Requirements
1. Be a non-Chinese citizen; be physically and mentally healthy.
2. Having a certain financial capability; no criminal record.
3. The following applicants who have held a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), as well as have lived abroad for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (before April 30th of the enrollment year), are eligible to apply as international students:
Applicants born in mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan, and Macao but have obtained a foreign nationality.
Applicants who acquired a foreign nationality at the time of birth, and whose parents (either or both) hold Chinese nationality (nationalities) and reside abroad.
4. Age requirement:
Self-funded applicants: be at least 16 years old and under the age of 35
5. Educational Background: have earned a graduation certificate of higher secondary school, or its international equivalent.
6. Language Proficiency
For Chinese-taught programs: the applicant's Chinese proficiency should be equivalent to at least HSK Level 5 (180 score).
HSK Level 4 certificate (with at least 180 score) is acceptable ONLY for B.A in Chinese Language.

Program Description
CIP offers four-year rigorous and practical education through lectures, expert seminars, and team-based student projects in eight semesters.
- Students can finish the program in minimum 3 years with good study planning. The maximum study length is 6 years.
- Students with good Chinese language skills before the start of the program are qualified to apply for the exemption of Chinese language courses up to 28 credits.
- Qualified students will have opportunities to study as an exchange student in our partner universities in another country for a semester (except for the first year and last semester in the program).
- Students with valid HSK level 4 certificate and GPA above 3 are qualified to apply for minor in Chinese language in the first year of study.
Program Requirements
Students are required to meet following requirements to graduate:
- Complete about 155 credits, including required courses, elective courses, thesis, community service, graduate internship and other practicum in 3-6 years.
- Pass all the required courses and the GPA for all the required courses is above 1.7
- Submit graduation thesis and pass the thesis defense
- Attend minimum15 seminars and 15 immersion week activities
- Have minimum 90 hours of community service
- Have minimum 1 month of graduation internship in an organization in the last academic year, and the evaluation is above average
- Other practicum requirements
- Receive HSK level 4 certificate within 2 years before graduation (HSK is the official Chinese language proficiency test)
- No undue payment to the university
- No violation of Chinese law and regulation and no disciplinary action on file

Conditional Admission:
Applicants with IELTS below 5.5 or equivalent may be admitted conditionally and required to study in CIP Preparation Program until one’s English proficiency reaches entrance standard.
Transfer Students:
Only students who have been studying in a university in the similar major for more than one semester can apply for credits transfer. The official transcritps, the syllabus of the courses or other associated documents are required. CIP reserves the right to make final decision on credit transfer. Maximum of 30 credits can be transferred.

An applicant shall submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate) issued by the local public security authority (such as the police station), usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application.

Written in the teaching language of the program you apply for, including your personal information, contact details, educational background (from middle school period), work or internship experience (if any), participation in extracurricular activities, awards and honors, hobbies and interests, grants and scholarships, licenses and certificates, etc.
Gap between each experience should not exceed three months.5. Others
If you are applying for a Chinese-taught program in Fashion & Apparel Design, Product Design, Environmental Design, Visual Communication Design, Digital Media Art, or Art & Technology, you are required to submit the original latest art works of one pencil sketch, one color painting, and one design rendering relating to the proposed program. The size of all works must be 360mm*260mm.

A statement of purpose in essay format written in the teaching language of the program you apply for, within 1000 words.
l Describe yourself and individual growth background, motivation for applying, reasons for major choice and study plan, and demonstrate your personal thoughts, capacities and characteristics.11. The following applicants should provide the passports, all the visa pages, exit and entry stamp pages on the passport, proof of naturalization, or evidence of being foreign citizens at birth.
